Caught on Cam: Speeding car hits pedestrians in Navi Mumbai; one dies

New Delhi: A devastating accident in Navi Mumbai has claimed the life of a young man and left a woman critically injured. The incident occurred around 10 am in the Taloja area.

As seen in the video, a speeding Tata Nexon struck two pedestrians, Lalu Das (27), who tragically died, and Pramila Dash (44), who sustained severe injuries, as they walked along the road. A disturbing video of the accident has surfaced online, graphically depicting the horrific impact of the speeding vehicle.

The driver of the Tata Nexon was immediately apprehended by the police, and authorities have initiated a comprehensive inquiry to ascertain the precise sequence of events leading to the accident. Police are also investigating potential connections to an earlier dispute which might have led to the tragedy.

In a separate incident in southwest Delhi, another hit-and-run case resulted in the death of a man. A 25-year-old man, identified as Paras Pathaniya, was arrested within 12 hours of the incident, according to Delhi Police. Pathaniya, driving his Audi recklessly, collided with an Ertiga car driven by Sukhjeet Nanda, resulting in Nanda’s death. After the accident, Pathaniya abandoned his Audi and fled the scene, but swift police action led to his arrest.
