Anantapur: The suicide of an intermediate student in Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh has caused a stir. Charan, a first-year intermediate student, suddenly jumped from the college building. He left the classroom and jumped from the third-floor railing in front of everyone. He was seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital. However, the reasons for his suicide are still unknown. Upon learning of the incident, student organisations staged a protest in front of the college.
The manner in which Charan committed suicide has shocked everyone. This heartbreaking incident was captured on the college’s security camera. The footage shows the student, around 10:15 am, leaving the classroom and jumping from the edge of the building.
Police probe underway
The class was in session at the time of the incident. The CCTV footage shows Charan leaving the classroom without any interaction, heading straight to the building’s edge and jumping from the third floor. As soon as this occurred, his classmates ran outside and rushed him to the hospital.
The reasons for the incident remain unclear. Police have launched an investigation from multiple angles to determine why the student took this step. They are also speaking with family members and friends to gather information about the student’s mental state and will conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter.
Student jumps from college building
In another incident, an 18-year-old student died after jumping from his college building in Delhi’s Rohini, police said. The incident happened on Monday at Maharaja Agrasen College. The student, Parth Rawat, was from Ghaziabad and was studying B.Com in his first year. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Police believe it could be a case of suicide but are still investigating the exact cause. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to students and staff. College authorities have not commented yet.
