New Delhi: There was utter chaos and confusion after a car in a wedding procession burst into flames when a man recklessly set off firecrackers through its sunroof. The shocking incident came to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur. Sources said that it occurred in Gandevada village under Fatehpur police station area.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms. It shows the man bursting fireworks through the sunroof as part of the wedding revellery. It caused sparks from the crackers to go up into the air and then fall on the vehicle, as the car caught fire.
In the video, it can be seen that even as most local residents scurry for cover from the blaze, one of them runs towards the vehicle to help the occupant of the vehicle come out of it.

No report of any injuries or casualties have been reported till now. The car was completely reduced to ashes and was later confiscated by the cops. The police also slapped a fine on the man behind it all.
Last month, in a similar incident, firecrackers were burst from the roof of a private vehicle in Chandigarh. The police took action against the reckless accused.
During Diwali last year, a number of videos of youths setting off firecrackers from the roofs of moving cars in Gurugram emerged on social media platforms. Gurugram police, while highlighting the seriousness of the incident, initiated legal action against those involved in the incidents.
