Mumbai: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat call from youth in Raipur in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have filed a case in this regard. The FIR has been filed at Bandra police station in Mumbai. Security has now been increased at SRK’s house in Bandra.
A team of Mumbai Police officials has now reached Raipur. According to police, a youth named Faizan made the alleged threat call to the Bollywood star.
Call received at Bandra Police station
Police officials said that the call was traced to Chhattisgarh capital Raipur following which a sent was rushed to the city. Police said they have arrested the youth from Raipur, said sources.
According to police, the threat call came at Bandra police station and the caller demanded Rs 50 lakh ransom failing which the Shah Rukh Khan would be killed. Th FIR in the case was filed on November 5.
Will kill Shah Rukh Khan if Rs 50 lakh not given
The caller reportedly said, “I will kill Shah Rukh Khan of Band Stand.” When police asked him about his name, the caller said it name doesn’t matter and his name is ‘Hindustani’.
The threat call to Shah Rukh Khan came in the back drops of death threats to another star Salman Khan allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi gang. It is alleged that the Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for shooting dead former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui, who was close to Salman Khan.
A case has been filed under section 308(4) crime of extortion involving threats of death or serious injury, 351(3)(4) (offence of criminal intimidation by threatening to cause death or grievous hurt) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Bandra police station.
Threat calls in backdrop of Baba Siddiqui murder
So far, police have arrested at least 16 people in connection with the murder of Baba Siddiqui. His son Zeeshan Siddiqui has also received multiple death threats. Baba Siddiqui was shot and killed out the office of his son Zeeshan in Bandra on October 12 evening.
