Prayagraj: In a grand showcase of culture and religious fervor, the Uttarakhand Pavilion at Prayagraj Kumbh has become a center of attraction for devotees and visitors alike. In this pavilion, Badri-Kedar temple Committee (BKTC) started its publicity stall on January 20, which will continue until February 20, in line with the instructions of the Uttarakhand Government.
The stall promotes winter worship places of Uttarakhand, including Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines. The Chief Executive Officer of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), Vijay Prasad Thapliyal, recently inspected the Temple Committee Promotion Stall, where winter worship places are being promoted alongside the efforts of the Tourism Department.
Pavilions from different states have been set up
Maha Kumbh has been divided into various fair sectors, each catering to different groups such as sadhus, saints’ akhadas, Aghoris, Virakt, and storytellers. On the dates of Shahi Snan, sadhus and saints can be seen amidst various tableaux. Pavilions from different states across the country have been set up, showcasing their culture, civilization, and development in a live depiction.
Display of Uttarakhand’s culture and civilization
At the Kailash Puri Sector 7, near the Uttar Pradesh pavilion, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s vision is brought to life with the display of Uttarakhand’s culture and civilization. Temples such as Shri Badrinath, Shri Kedarnath, Kainchi Dham, Jageshwar Dham, and Golu Devta Temple, along with winter worship places, are prominently featured.
The Maha Kumbh at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, which occurs once every 144 years, commenced on January 13 and will continue until February 26. This event has already drawn lakhs of devotees who have earned the virtue of Amrit Snan at Triveni Sangam. Estimates suggest that by the conclusion of Maha Kumbh, the number of devotees will reach crores.
BKTC official encouraged more devotees to undertake winter pilgrimages
Vijay Prasad Thapliyal inspected the BKTC publicity stall and encouraged more devotees to undertake winter pilgrimages. During his visit, he interacted with nodal officers at the Uttarakhand Pavilion and presented a souvenir of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple to District Magistrate Prayagraj, Ravinder Kumar Mandhad, through his OSD.
Commissioner and Director General Industries Prateek Jain has played a crucial role in bringing the Uttarakhand pavilion to life. The pavilion includes stalls from Himadri Brand, Department of Industries, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council, Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, AYUSH Department Uttarakhand, and Information Department.
