New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday launched a sharp critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and accused it of disregarding “democratic norms” in its political conduct. She likened the BJP’s approach to the recent landslides in Wayanad, claiming both operate without adhering to rules or providing accountability.
“The political challenges faced by the BJP today are akin to landslides—unpredictable, without rules and lacking explanations,” Priyanka said during a joint public rally in Mukkam, Kerala. She said that the stage with her brother, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Times of India reported.

Addressing the gathering, Priyanka accused the BJP of destroying institutions vital to the nation, eroding people’s trust in the electoral process and democratic structures. “The ruling party’s behaviour lacks the democratic principles we normally uphold, even during political rivalries,” she said, as quoted by news agency PTI.
Priyanka, who is visiting Kerala for the first time after winning the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll and assured the constituency of her unwavering commitment. “I will be your voice in Parliament, representing your issues, values and aspirations. Every day from now till the end, I will strive to resolve your problems,” she said.
