New Delhi: Maharashtra is all set to witness the return of a BJP chief minister after a five-year gap, according to BJP sources. The new government will feature deputies from both the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
A crucial meeting of the NDA is scheduled to take place in Delhi on Thursday evening, where the next NDA leader for Maharashtra will also be finalised. The development came after extensive discussions among alliance partners, with caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde in a press briefing on Wednesday made it clear that whatever decision PM Modi and Amit Shah take will be supported by Shiv Sainiks.
