Bengaluru: A family in Bengaluru experienced a terrifying incident when two men shattered their car’s rear window during a road rage altercation. The couple’s five-year-old son began to bleed as the scared parents exited the vehicle to confront their attackers.
On Tuesday night, the unidentified assailants, riding a motorcycle, stopped the family’s car twice and insisted that the child’s father, Anoop, lower the window. When he refused, they retaliated by smashing the glass with a stone, all while a video recorded the distressing scene from inside the vehicle.
The child began to cry in pain and Anoop could be heard shouting in desperation, “Mera bachcha tha udhar (my child was there).” He was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious head injuries. Later visuals revealed shattered glass and bloodstains on the backseat of the car.

Boy sustains head injuries
Anoop said that the men had been tailing them and launched the attack just two kilometres from their home. “My son, who was seated in the back, suffered significant injuries and needed three stitches to his head. He is under observation for 24 hours due to severe blood loss,” he said. The ordeal has left the young boy traumatised, according to Anoop.
His wife recounted the horror of the incident, saying that the men showed no hesitation in their attack, even in a busy area. “Our child was terrified. We spent hours at the hospital, and it has been a traumatic experience for all of us, both mentally and physically,” she said. The family has filed a complaint at the Parappana Agrahara police station regarding the incident.
