Bengaluru-Hosur metro line: Feasiblity report in final stage as officials inspect site

Chennai: In a key step toward finalizing the Detailed Feasibility Report for South India’s first inter-state metro, CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited)  officials met with their Bengaluru counterparts on Teusday, August 27. CMRL officials meet with BMRCL (Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited) officials today as part of extending metro from Bommasandra to Hosur via Attibele.

The teams inspected the site in Hosur for the proposed 23 km metro line, spanning 11 km in Tamil Nadu and 12 km in Karnataka. This project aims to enhance connectivity between Bommasandra and Hosur.

South India’s First Inter-State Metro Project Gains Momentum

The meetings focused on the feasibility of implementing the MRTS line which will cover a length of 23 kilometers including approximately 11 kilometers in Tamil Nadu and 12 kilometers in Karnataka with 12 metro stations and a depot planned along the route.
