Bengaluru: A 19-year-old girl who was a second-year BBA student ended her life at her home after having a small fight over a bedsheet with her elder sister.
In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old girl named Shravya who was a student in her second year of Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) at a private college committed suicide. As per a report published by the Times of India, the night before the suicide, the girl had an argument with her elder sister over a bedsheet.

At 6 am the next morning, when her mother knocked on the door, she got no response from the room. The family got anxious and after breaking the door found the body of Shravya, hanging from the ceiling. When the police reached the house for investigation, no death note was found in the house. Investigation with her friends and gymmates revealed that due to frequents arguments of her parents, Shravya was in distress since quite some time. This could have added to her mental state. The Bengaluru police have registered a case of unnatural death and the case is under investigation.
Similar incident of suicide
A similar case was registered in Bengaluru last month were a 20-year-old girl took her life after her demand of buying a new bike was not fulfilled by her mother. The girl was identified as Ayyappa who was also a second year graduation student. Ayyappa’s father died six years ago, due to which her mother started working as a housekeeping staff to earn a living. When Ayyappa asked for a new bike, her mother refused and asked her to be patient as she could not afford it.
The incident attracted sharp reactions from the netizens with most of them criticising the girl for make such a demand from her mother who was already struggling to get her life on track.
