The Harper’s Bazaar India Women of the Year Awards 2024 aimed to create a chain of empowerment among the most influential women in India.

Payal Kapadia wins Best Director at Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024
Indian filmmaker Payala Kapadia took home to award for Best Director at the Harper’s Bazaar’s prestigious Women of the Year Awards for her film All We Imagine As Light. This achievement follows Payal’s history win at the Canned Film Festival where her directorial won the Grand Prix. With her special feature on the Time 100 Next 2024 list and global recognition, there is no better woman fit for the title. In her acceptance speech, Payal Kapadia expressed her delight in winning this specific award as she strongly believes in the importance of women and the friendships they nurture around them.
Ananya Pandey bagged Spotlight Actor of the Year
With her recent successful movies such as Netflix’s CTRL and Prime Video’s Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday won the Spotlight Actor of the Year at Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards 2024. While accepting her award, the 25-year-old actress spoke about writers finally coming around and being able to identify the potential a female-led movie can have. “I think we are making that space for ourselves. It’s a great time to be an actress,” said Ananya while addressing the crowd.
Kriti Sanon’s Best Actor of the Year win at the Bazaar Women of the Year Awards
Kriti Sanon has had quite an incredible year in 2024. With her satisfaction with starring in an all-female cast movie Crew and her brand Hyphen completing one year, the actress thanked all the women around her who helped her reach where she is in life. In her acceptance speech, Kriti Sanon spoke about women branching out and getting well-written roles that have broken records. “We are limited only by our minds. So, let’s not do that. Let’s hyphen whatever you do in your life,” said Kriti Sanon.
Gauri Khan takes home Best Interior Designer award
Gauri Khan, a well-known interior designer and Shah Rukh Khan’s wife was presented with the Best Interior Designer award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024. While speaking about her journey in the industry, Gauri Khan recalled how her interior designer journey began when she was 40. She encouraged all women to never let age hold them back from pursuing their dreams.
Isha Ambani won Icon of the Year award
The director of one of the biggest conglomerates in India, Isha Ambani won the Icon of the Year Award at the ceremony on Saturday. The Reliance Industries Limited Director thanked her mother Nita Ambani for paving the way for her and dedicated the award to her daughter Aadiya. With Isha Mabani at the helm, Reliance Retail claimed its way to the Top 10 Retailers in Asia and the only Indian retail company in a list with global contenders.
