New Delhi: It is a bank holiday today Saturday, November 2, 2024, on the occasion of Diwali/ Bali Pratipada. According to RBI’s monthly holiday calendar banks will remain closed on Saturday for the observance of these festivals. To be sure, this affects branch banking and not online and ATM-based services. November will see bank holidays for 13 days this month.
RBI classifies holidays under 3 categories: Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and RTGS, as well as closing of accounts.

Apart from this list, banks are also closed on the second and fourth Saturday of each month apart from all Sundays. This means that banks will remain closed on November 9, 2024, and November 23, 2024, which are the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.
