New Delhi: Due to the ongoing violent protests and the subsequent resignation and departure of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from the country, Indian Railways has suspended all train services, including the Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata Maitri Express, from July 19 to August 6, according to an Indian Railways source.
Here is complete list of cancelled trains
- 13109/13110 (Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata Maitri Express): Cancelled since 19.07.2024 up to 06.08.2024
- 13107/13108 (Kolkata-Dhaka-KOAA Maitri Express): Cancelled since 19.07.2024 up to 06.08.2024
- 13129/13130 (Kolkata-Khulna-Kolkata Bandhan Express): Cancelled since 19.07.2024 up to 06.08.2024
- 13131/13132 (Dhaka-New Jalpaiguri-Dhaka Mitali Express) Cancelled since 21.07.2024 up to 06.08.2024
Flights cancelled
IndiGo and Air India also cancelled their flights from India to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. IndiGo has also cancelled its flight from Dhaka to India for Tuesday. All flights are operating as scheduled on Monday.
In a post on social platform X, the airline said, “In view of the emerging situation in Bangladesh, we have cancelled the scheduled operation of our flights to and from Dhaka with immediate effect.”
“We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Dhaka with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges.
