Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina lands in Ghaziabad

New Delhi: Former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina’s aircraft has landed at the Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, according to reports. The C-130 transport aircraft will be parked near the Indian Air Force’s C-17 and C-130J Super Hercules aircraft hangars. The aircraft movement was monitored by Indian Air Force and security agencies from its entry into Indian airspace to Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad, sources said.

Sheikh Hasina quit from her post after violent protests in the country. She fled the country in a chopper as a mob stormed into the prime minister’s palace on Monday evening.  Protesters are celebrating the PM’s resignation on the streets. The Bangladesh Army has said that an interim government will take charge very soon.
