In response to BRS leader KT Rama Rao’s legal notice, Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay stated that the notice is devoid of any merit and that all allegations are ‘false and baseless’.
He further said that his statement about KTR was in no way defamatory, libellous or slanderous and that he never mentioned the BRS leader’s name in the press conference.
Speaking to the media earlier this month, Bandi Sanjay accused KTR of taking drugs.
The central minister said that he won’t be threatened by such notices and that he would avail all legal options available to him. In the reply sent through his lawyer, Bandi Sanjay asked KTR to withdraw his legal notices and issue a public apology to him through the media.
KTR sent a defamation notice to Sanjay on October 22 for alleging that he consumes drugs and was involved in phone-tapping. He demanded Sanjay to produce evidence to back his claims or apologise unconditionally. The BRS leader said that he will be forced to initiate legal action against Sanjay if he fails to comply with the demand.
