New Delhi: A video has emerged of the recent firing carried out by members of the Bambiha Gang at a businessman’s house in Delhi. The Bambiha Gang is the arch rival of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
In the CCTV footage, two men on motorcycle can be seen holding position outside the businessman’s residence. A few moments later, one of the men tossed a note into the house with “Bambiha Gang” written on it. Soon after this, one of them opened fire at the house. He fires eight rounds.
According to the officials, the two Bambiha Gang members also made a video of the firing – which was later sent to the United States. The shooting incident occurred on October 26 in North West Delhi’s Rani Bagh around 8.40 pm. The police said that the duo — Bilal Ansari (22) and Shuheb (21) — carried out the firing to extort Rs 15 crore from the businessman.
Special Cell sounded alert
It was on the intervening night of October 28 and 29, the Special Cell of the Delhi police was sounded an alert that the duo would go to the Kakrola area in Delhi to meet their aides. After this, the police conducted a stakeout near Kakrola Drainage Road heading towards Najafgarh around 2:15 am, as per news agency PTI.
When the two reached the location on a motorbike, the police flagged them to stop. But the duo tried to take a U-turn but slipped and fell. As the cops surrounded the team, one of the assailants took out his pistol and shot at the officials. After this, the police team fired back, and one of the accused reportedly received a bullet injury in his leg. The gang members were arrested. A semi-automatic pistol, a single-shot firearm, and six live cartridges were also recovered from them.
