Bahraich: The postmortem report of Ram Gopal Mishra, Bahraich violence victim, revealed shocking details that highlight the extent of violence he suffered before being killed. The postmortem examination revealed that Ram Gopal had endured severe torture, with the report indicating a staggering 35 bullet wounds across his body.
The reports also showed marks of violence consistent with sharp weapon attacks, which include deep cuts on his head, forehead and chest. The report highlighted that Ram Gopal’s toenails had been pulled out. Furthermore, the examination indicated that the victim was subjected to electric shocks. The report stated that Ram Gopal died due to a combination of excessive bleeding, shock and haemorrhage.
Violence broke out in Bahraich
The incident that led to Ram Gopal’s murder took place during a Goddess Durga idol immersion on October 13. As the procession took place, communal tensions escalated, during which Ram Gopal was shot dead.
The violent outbreak left several others injured. Stone-pelting and gunfire had erupted in the streets of Bahraich.
What Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said
Following the violence and Ram Gopal’s death, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the family of the deceased. During his visit, he expressed deep condolences and assured the grieving family that the state government would ensure justice for Ram Gopal.
In a heartfelt message shared on X, he said, “In this hour of grief, the Uttar Pradesh government stands with the victim’s family with full sensitivity and commitment. Rest assured, providing justice to the victim’s family is the top priority of the UP government. The culprits of this extremely reprehensible and unforgivable incident will not be spared at any cost.”
