Ayodhya: With just a few days left for the New Year, Ayodhya is all decked up to welcome the tourists visiting the holy city to offer prayers at the Ram Mandir. With the Ram Mandir inauguration completing one year next month and the Maha Kumbh Mela starting next month, the city is in full alert. The authorities are expecting a huge footfall in coming days.
As per authorities close 2.5 crore devotees are expected to visit the city from January 13 to February 12. They also expect over 5 lakh tourists in Ayodhya on New Year’s Day. Sharing further details news agency PTI said that almost all hotels and accomodations are fully booked. Because of this the Ram Temple management have extended the timings of the temple.
Temple authorities have extended timing for ‘Darashan’
“Extended ‘darshan’ timings and strategic arrangements have been made to ensure a seamless experience for all the devotees,” the agency quoted a member of the Ram Mandir Trust stated. Importantly, ever since temple was inaugurated in January, Ayodhya has become a hub of tourists from across the country and abroad.As per thre data of the state government, nearly 32.98 crore tourists visited Uttar Pradesh in the first six months of the year with Ayodhya and Varanasi attracting most visitors.
An official added, “Following the inauguration of the grand Ram temple in January last year, Uttar Pradesh saw a significant rise in tourist influx within the first six months. In January alone, a record-breaking seven crore tourists visited, marking the highest number of visitors to any place in a single month.”
