Jaunpur: In a shocking turn of events, Nikita Singhania’s mother, Nisha Singhania and brother, Anurag Singhania, have absconded from their home in Jaunpur. The duo was caught on camera fleeing their house in Khowa Mandi of Kotwali, leaving behind a locked door. Nisha is seen pleading with folded hands.
The development comes amidst the ongoing investigation into the suicide case of AI engineer Atul Subhash, who allegedly took his own life due to harassment by his wife Nikita and her family. The 24-page suicide note left behind by engineer Atul Subhash has brought to light the horrific harassment and corruption he faced at the hands of his in-laws and the judiciary system.
Atul’s suicide note
Atul’s note details the relentless harassment he suffered from his wife Nikita Singhania, mother-in-law Nisha Singhania, brother-in-law Anurag Singhania and uncle-in-law Sushil Singhania. He alleged that his wife was provoked by her mother to mistreat him and that he was falsely accused of dowry demands.
The note also exposes the corruption within the judiciary system. Atul said that he was demanded bribes by advocates and judges in the Jaunpur Family Court, where his case was being heard. He alleged that he was asked to pay Rs 3 lakh to settle the case. The police have filed an FIR against Nikita, her mother, brother and uncle under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, which prescribes a punishment of up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine for those convicted.
