New Delhi: AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced a major initiative for Delhi’s senior citizen. He announced that citizens above the age of 60 will be provided free treatment at hospitals in Delhi. The scheme will have no upper financial limit and will be applicable in both government and private hospitals. All the expenses will be borne by the Delhi government.

The former chief minister added that the scheme will be implemented after AAP would be reelected for a third time in the upcoming elections. Delhi is scheduled to go to polls in February 2025. Kejriwal emphasised that the new healthcare initiative will act as a ‘Sanjeevani Booti’ for the elderly.
