The Aprilia RS457 is the first motorcycle by the Italian brand to be produced in India. It is extremely competitive and offers a true sports bike riding experience while being quite the value for money. Aprilia has now introduced the RS457 with a quick-shifter and it now starts from Rs 4.17 lakh (ex-showroom). You can still get the motorcycle without a quick-shifter and it is priced from Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
A quick-shifter is a welcome addition on a motorcycle like the RS457. It allows the rider to shift gears without the need of pressing the clutch thus allowing for quick shifts and faster lap times. This is something that is only available on the more expensive motorcycles but more and more manufacturers are providing it on affordable models.
Mechanically, the Aprilia still remains pretty much the same and features a 457cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine which produces 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and it also gets ride by wire which gives it three riding modes as well. It also comes with features like traction control and dual channel ABS. All of it is controlled through a 5-inch TFT colour display.
Aprilia is also offering complementary roadside assistance and a 3-year warranty with the motorcycle and customers also have the option of lucrative finance offers like zero downpayment and an interest rate of just 8.99%. This offer is valid only for customers who take deliveries of the RS457 from October 23 to October 31, 2024.
The Aprilia RS457 is available in three colours namely – Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light. It competes with motorcycles like the Yamaha R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 500.
