With the latest iPhone 16 lineup, it is the first time that the entire iPhone series, including the Pro models, has been manufactured in India. As we are stepping towards 2025, Apple is planning to make the next iPhone 17 in India. Apple’s manufacturing partner Foxconn has reportedly started early work on this model at a factory in Bengaluru, The Information reported. This will further reduce its reliance on China.
However, the iPhone 17 is in the early development stage right now, the report suggested. Engineers at Foxconn in India are creating prototypes to see if they can meet Apple’s quality standards. Apple wants to ensure that these devices can match the quality of those made in California. By developing phones closer to where they will be assembled, Apple hopes to improve efficiency and lower costs in the future.
