Hyderabad: Icon star Allu Arjun has been released from Chanchalguda jail this morning, after a delay in the release procedure. He was initially supposed to be freed yesterday following the Telangana High Court’s grant of interim bail. However, due to procedural delays, his release was postponed until today. Allu Arjun, who was arrested by Chikkadapalli police on Friday in connection with the Sandhya Theater stampede case, was designated as A11 in the case. After his arrest, he underwent medical examinations at Gandhi Hospital and was presented in Nampally court, where he was remanded to 14 days in custody.
After a quash petition being filed, the High Court rejected the request but granted interim bail when Bunny’s lawyer filed for it. The court approved the bail on personal surety, directing the submission of the surety to the prison superintendent. The High Court granted interim bail for four weeks, and a surety bond of Rs. 50,000 was submitted by Allu Arjun’s lawyers last night.
