Lucknow: Amid the ongoing controversy over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s slogan ‘ Batenge to Katenge’, the Samajwadi Party has released another poster saying, ‘Judenge to Jeetenge’, which is going viral on social media. This comes days after another poster had come out from the Samajwadi Party (SP) days earlier, saying, ‘Na Batenge, Na Katenge’.
The last poster was shared by Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on his X handle with the message, ‘Jinka Nazriya jaisa, unka naara waisa (As is the viewpoint of the person, so is his slogan!).’ The workers of the Samajwadi Party put up the poster in Lucknow with the image of party President Akhilesh Yadav printed on it. Apart from the party’s latest two pictures, another poster went viral, which said, ’27 ka sattadhis’.
UP Assembly Elections
Notably, in response to Samajwadi Party’s ’27 ka sattadhis’, message Nishad party also came up with a counter poster saying, ’27 ke savior’. Elections are due in 2027. The recent poster wars in the states suggest that Assembly Elections might see a tough contest this time.

With Assembly elections coming up in Maharashtra the ‘Batenge to Katenge’ slogans were also seen in several parts of Mumbai. The posters carrying these messages were written in red colour. The poster had a saffron and yellow background, with the name Vishwabandhu Rai imprinted on them. Rai who put up these posters is linked to the BJP. According to The Indian Express, his motive was to prevent the division of pro-BJP votes. The one-phase polling will be held on November 20, with results set to be announced on November 23.
BMC removes posters
However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) removed these posters from several parts of the city. Rejecting BJP’s role, the party rejected reports of putting up these posters and added that was not holding any post in the BJP.
