Agra: In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, a 24-year-old man claimed that he was buried alive and saved by stray dogs. The incident happened on July 18 in the Artoni area.
According to victim Roop Kishore, four men – Ankit, Gaurav, Karan and Akash – assaulted and strangled him over a land dispute. Believing he was dead, the attackers buried him on their farm.

Roop Kishore said that he survived because stray dogs began digging at the spot where he was buried. The dogs’ bites woke him up, and he managed to escape and find help from locals who took him to a hospital.
Roop Kishore’s mother said that her son was forcibly taken from their home by the four men. The police are searching for the accused, who are currently on the run.
An FIR has been filed against the four men, and a police investigation against the accused are currently underway.

In a similar incident in December 2023, a family said that their adopted shelter dog coming to their rescue after an “intruder” broke into their home. In a note, the family said that they heard the glass of a window in their home shatter while they were in bed.
The post that was shared by a US-based X account called ‘The Dalbo Dog’, said that their “brave doggie” ran across the room after jumping from the bed and chased away the intruder, who ran away after jumping the fence. The post further said that the dog was profusely bleeding when he came back from chasing away the intruder.
