Aadhar Update Deadline Extended: Users Can Now Update Aadhaar Information for Free Until December 2023

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free Aadhaar updates until December 2023, offering users more time for accurate demographic information.

In a welcome move for Aadhar users, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has decided to extend the deadline for free updates of Aadhaar information. Originally set to conclude on September 14, 2023, users will now have an additional three months to make necessary updates, with the new deadline being December 14, 2023.

UIDAI’s Decision to Extend the Deadline

The decision was made to provide citizens with ample time to avail themselves of the free Aadhar update service. The UIDAI recognizes the significance of keeping Aadhaar data accurate and up-to-date.

How to Update Aadhaar Information for Free: Users can conveniently update their Aadhaar information for free through the myAadhaar portal at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/. Follow these steps to update your address proof without incurring any charges:

Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.

Log in and select the option to update name/gender/date of birth and address.

Click on “Update Aadhaar Online.”

Choose the address from the list of demographic options and select “Aadhar Update Proceed.”

Upload the scanned copy of your address proof and provide the necessary demographic information.

A Service Request Number (SRN) will be generated; make sure to note it down.

Your address will be updated after verification.

This extension allows Aadhar users more time to ensure the accuracy of their demographic information, making it a hassle-free process with no associated costs until December 2023.
