New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to take control of Delhi after nearly three decades in opposition.
On its official X handle (formerly Twitter), the party released four posters reflecting the emerging trends. When it became clear that the BJP would win Delhi, the party released a poster featuring a lotus in front of the iconic India Gate with the caption: “BJP is winning Delhi.”

An hour later, the party released another poster featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the caption: “Modi in the heart of Delhi.” This can be loosely interpreted as the party crediting PM Modi for the victory, as he led the charge against AAP and Arvind Kejriwal.

A third BJP poster on X, again featuring PM Modi with India Gate in the background, had the captions: “Thank You, Delhi” and “BJP has come to Delhi.”

The party also shared a fourth poster thanking the people of Delhi for bringing it back to power after years in opposition.
“Heartfelt gratitude to the God-like people and all the workers for their unprecedented support and blessings in the Delhi assembly elections.”

This is a historic victory for the BJP, which, despite sweeping the Lok Sabha seats in Delhi in the past three general elections, had not been able to win the assembly elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to be limited to 23 constituencies. Except for Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, none of the top AAP leaders were able to win their seats. Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal was defeated in the New Delhi constituency by Parvesh Verma, while senior party leader Manish Sisodia lost in Jangpura.
