A significant initiative towards balanced and equitable growth in Madhya Pradesh

The conclave will witness participation from 3500+ attendees, including 15 international representatives from 7 countries (Canada, Netherlands, Togo, Zambia, Ghana, Mexico, and Taiwan). Investors from 15+ States and over 150 distinguished guests, primarily from the Tourism, IT, Footwear, Handloom/ Handicraft, Agriculture and Food Processing sectors, will also participate, showing keen interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh. The event will feature over 400 buyer-seller meetings and representatives from more than 5 industrial organizations, including CII, Laghu Udyog Bharati and DICCI.

The conclave will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, with a special video presentation on GIS and showcasing industrial investment and development in the state. Detailed presentations on various key industrial sectors will be given.

Mr. Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, will provide insights into the current investment landscape and upcoming plans. Dr. Navneet Kothari, Secretary, MSME Department, will present initiatives to strengthen the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises and the startup ecosystem in the state.

Mr. Mohit Bundas, Managing Director, MP Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation will discuss the development and empowerment of rural industries. Mr. Sanjay Shukla, Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources Department, will highlight opportunities in the mineral resources sector, Mr. Sanjay Dubey, Principal Secretary, Dept. of Science & Technology will present in investment opportunities in IT, ITeS & ESDM sector and Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, will present on various possibilities in the tourism sector.

Prominent industrialists such as Mr. Karan Adani from Adani Group, Mr. Vivek Taneja from Reliance Bio Energy and Mr. Puneet Dawar, MD of Tropilite Foods, will share their experiences and suggestions, providing new directions for investment and industrial development in the state.

Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, will also launch the “Invest MP Portal,” which will provide investors with information on investment opportunities and policies in the state.

During the event, letters of intent will be allotted to new industrial units investing in the state. The conclave will see the inauguration and ground-breaking ceremony of 28 units at 6 regional offices, with a total capital investment of Rs 1321.11 crores and the potential to create approximately 3785 jobs.

Additionally, 120 units will receive letters of intent, with 268 acres of land being allocated, involving an investment of over Rs 1,680 crores and the potential to create over 6600 jobs. This initiative is a significant step towards promoting employment and economic growth in the state.

To facilitate investment at the district level, investment promotion centres are being established in district collector offices to provide necessary district-level permissions and licenses within a stipulated timeframe. These centres will be inaugurated in all the 8 districts of the Gwalior and Chambal divisions.

The conclave will feature various sessions and roundtable discussions focused on different industrial sectors. Sectoral sessions will cover Start-ups, Rural Industries, Tourism, Handloom, Handicraft & Cottage Industries, Higher Education and Skill Development. Three roundtable sessions are proposed on:

  • Gwalior PCB Cluster
  • Opportunities in the Start-up Sector
  • Opportunities in the Footwear Sector
  • Experts and industrialists will participate in these sessions.

During the event, Honourable Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav, will hold one-on-one meetings with representatives from the industry to discuss investment in the State. These meetings will allow prominent industrialists from Madhya Pradesh to share their perspectives on the state’s industrial landscape and development opportunities and propose investments.

The primary objective of the Regional Industry Conclave 2024 is to promote balanced and equitable growth in Madhya Pradesh, establish the state as an industrial hub and, encourage investors to invest in the state. Through this conclave, the state government aims to accelerate industrial development and strengthen the state’s economic position.
