New Delhi: A fresh controversialist has erupted in Delhi days after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s remarkable win in the recently concluded Assembly polls. The party has hit out at the Aam Aaadmi Party, after the Chief Minister’s X account, @CMODelhi, was suddenly changed to @KejriwalAtWork. Soon after the account was deleted social media platform.
Angry over this, the party has asked for Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s intervention. Taking to X, BJP’s Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva slammed the outgoing AAP government over the entire matter.
Sachdeva slams AAP
“It is unfortunate that after the defeat of the government of Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, today, on the orders of the caretaker Chief Minister (Atishi), the (account) of ‘CMO Delhi’ has been made the personal (account) of Arvind Kejriwal. Sir, this is a case of digital loot by the government, and it needs to be investigated,” he wrote.
The BJP leader added, “It would not be an exaggeration to say that after his corrupt government collapsed, Kejriwal became a digital looter,” he said, “By orchestrating this digital heist, he misused government resources and compromised people’s private information, for which he must face legal action.”
Hitting out at the AAP further Sachdeva added, “During his ten years in power, he committed numerous scams ranging from ration card to ‘sheeshmahal’ and from auto permit to liquor, but the new digital loot is unprecedented… hardly any outgoing Chief Minister would have done something like this.”
AAP calls allegations ‘baseless’
While Kejriwal is yet to respond on the matter, his party rebutted the allegations as ‘baseless ’ and said that the BJP must focus on forming the government in Delhi. Earlier on Thursday, Outgoing Chief Minister Atishi had claimed of received complaints about faltering electricity supply after the BJP came to power. She alleged that within three days of the AAP losing elections over 40 power cuts were reported across Delhi.
