New Delhi: To mark 9 years of Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan, Modi Archive on Tuesday posted a touching incident of a differently abled woman Diya Gosai and her heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Modi Archive chronicles the life journey of PM Modi through a montage of archival photographs, videos, audio recordings, letters, newspaper clippings, and other such stuff.
In its video post on X, 20-year-old Diya Gosai’s eyes lit up as she saw an emblem on the envelope — it was a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office. As she read the letter, a wave of emotions ran through her.
“It was an indescribable joy to receive the beautiful picture gift from you during the Vadodara roadshow,” the letter from Prime Minister @narendramodi began. The PM recalled how even his Spanish counterpart, had been wowed by the sketches she had made.

It takes one back to Vadodara on October 28, as Diya recounts the entire event in the video. Among the teeming crowd was Diya, with her heart racing, as she held her sketches – one of PM Modi and the other of PM Sánchez. She was harbouring a slim hope that she would be noticed by the two. And they did notice her. In a heartwarming gesture, both the leaders stepped out of the vehicle and walked towards her to accept her sketches.
The PM expressed hope that Diya would continue to contribute to the fine arts with relentless dedication and diligence. He also sent his warm wishes to her family for Diwali and the Vikram Samvat New Year. Diya’s heart was filled with pride as she read his heartfelt words of encouragement.
“I am confident that our youth will play a leading role in building a Viksit Bharat,” wrote PM Modi.
Diya was overwhelmed with joy and emotion. She said, “I feel immense pride in being a small contributor, a humble part of our nation’s journey.”
“#9YearsOfSugamyaBharat” — that’s how the video post ended.
