9 Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh encounter; operation underway

New Delhi: Nine Maoists have been killed in an encounter with the security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on Tuesday. The encounter started at around 10:30 am and is underway. The operation is being carried out by a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

According to official statements, a significant cache of weapons, including an SLR, a .303 Rifle, and a .315 Bore Rifle, have been recovered from the site. All security personnel involved in the operation are reported to be safe.

The search operation is still underway, and further details are expected to be released upon its completion.
