The Modi government is on the verge of delivering promising news to central employees and pensioners regarding a potential increase in dearness allowance (DA), anticipated to be effective from July 1, 2023. Currently set at 42%, the DA may see a boost to 45%, resulting in a 3% increase.
Central Employees and Pensioners Await Modi Government’s Announcement
This impending hike is expected to significantly augment the monthly and annual salaries of central government employees. According to existing rules from the Seventh Pay Commission, when the dearness allowance reaches 50%, it is added to the basic salary.
The government has yet to release an official statement on this matter, but reports suggest an announcement before Navratri.
