Agartala: Seven protesters were arrested and action was taken against four police officers after a mob trespassed into the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala on Monday.
Three sub-inspectors were suspended and a deputy superintendent of police was ‘closed’, asking him to report to the police headquarters, for alleged negligence of duty as activists of a right-wing outfit, protesting against the arrest of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das and atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh, stormed the premises.
