Belagavi: Six people lost their lives and two people were injured after the mini bus they were travelling in, hit a road divider in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The eight people were on their way to Belagavi from Prayagraj. They had gone to the holy city to take part in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.
As per the police, the two injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The six who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as Balachandra Gowdar, Sunil Shedashale, Basavaraj Kurni, Basavaraj Doddamani, Eeranna Shebinakatti and Virupaksha Gumatti, news agency ANI reported. The two injured have been identified as Mustaq and Sadashiva.
3 people lost their lives in a similar incident in Bihar’s Kaimur district
In a similar incident last Sunday, three people lost their lives and four others were injured after they collided with a truck in Bihar’s Kaimur district. The incident took place in the Chilbili area of the district. The victims were returning from Prayagraj.
While the police have registered the case, they are also trying to find out the exact reason behind the incident. The police are also trying to find out the identities of those who lost their lives. They are also trying to find out details from CCTV cameras near the accident site.
10 people lost their lives in another accident this month
Recently, 10 people lost their lives and 19 others were injured after their Bolero car collided with a bus on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway in Uttar Pradesh at midnight.The Bolero was carrying devotees from Korba district in Chhattisgarh to Prayagraj to attend the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. The bus, on the other hand was carrying passengers from the Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh. It was returning from Prayagraj.
