Ahmedabad: An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale struck Mahesana, Gujarat, on Friday at 10.15 pm. According to National Centre for Seismology, the tremors were felt in several cities, including Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
The earthquake’s epicentre was located in Mahesana, but it caused shaking in surrounding areas. There were no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties.
