In a momentous event, the ‘Sri Rama Yantram’ has embarked on a sacred tour from Tirupati, the revered sanctuary of Lord Venkateswara, destined for consecration at the historic Mahayagnam in Ayodhya.
The ceremonial flag-off took place on October 27, 2024, at the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Maha Paduka Mandapam, officiated by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham’s 70th pontiff, Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal. Dignitaries included V. Veerabrahmam, the Joint Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), and BJP State spokesperson G. Bhanuprakash Reddy.
This 150 kg, gold-plated Yantram is crafted in the likeness of an ancient artefact housed at the Mutt’s headquarters in Kanchipuram. It features intricate mantras dedicated to Lord Ram and various deities, all embossed on its surface. After being transported from Kanchipuram to Tirupati, the Yantram will journey across five Indian states, covering a staggering 2,000 km before reaching Ayodhya on November 16, 2024.
The Yantram will be a centerpiece at the upcoming ‘Sri Maha Narayana Divya Rudra Sahita Satha Sahasra Chandi Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagam,’ organised by the Chinmayi Seva Trust, scheduled to take place at Karsevakpuram from November 18, 2024, to January 1, 2025.
During the flagging-off ceremony, the seer reflected on the extensive efforts that led to the construction of the Sri Ram temple, which followed a long and arduous legal battle. He emphasised the temple’s significance, referring to it as ‘Nyayasthan se Devasthan’.
