Pakistani Film Legend of Maula Jatt Controversy: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s film ‘Legend of Maula Jat’ is going to be released in India soon. Regarding this, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has clearly warned that this film will not be allowed to be released in Maharashtra under any circumstances. Raj Thackeray says that why should films of Pakistani artists be screened in India? He also said that art has no boundaries, but this does not apply in the context of Pakistan. The way Pakistan has animosity towards India, there is no justification in bringing such artists here and showing their cinema.
MNS also mentioned that the state’s Chief Minister, Home Minister and Director General of Police also wish to avoid any conflict. They have appealed to theatre owners to be cautious in screening Pakistani films as it may create tension in the society. Earlier whenever such cases have come to light, MNS has taken strict action. This time too, the film is going to be released around the Navratri festival, and the organisation has expressed apprehension that there should not be any kind of conflict at this time.
Raj Thackeray expressed displeasure over screening of Pakistani film ‘Legend of Maula Jat’ in India:

Raj Thackeray believes that if theatre owners give space to Pakistani cinema here, it may prove costly for them. He wants to avoid any conflict situation in the state and is expecting the government to take appropriate steps in this matter.
