XIM University, Bhubaneswar, marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its Foundation Day Ceremony on 16th November 2024 at its Old Campus. The annual event commemorates the University’s enduring legacy, its remarkable achievements, and its commitment to excellence in education and societal contribution.
The highlight of the ceremony was a keynote address by Mr. Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice-Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, one of India’s leading business conglomerates with diverse interests in telecom services, financial services, processed foods, and real estate. Known for his unwavering dedication to enhancing the quality of education, Mr. Mittal emphasized the critical role of preparing the younger generation for the future. He urged students to stay informed about emerging technologies and trends, fostering innovation and adaptability.
During his inspiring speech, Mr. Mittal shared valuable insights, including, “Happiness is not the destination; it is the journey of life,” and “A good head and heart make a formidable combination.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, igniting a sense of purpose and motivation among the students and faculty.
The event was graced by the presence of key dignitaries, including Reverend Fr. Antony R. Uvari, S.J., Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Fr. S. Antony Raj, S.J., Registrar, and Reverend Fr. V. Arokiyadass, S.J., Chief Finance Officer, along with distinguished board members and faculty. Adding to the occasion’s grandeur, Mr. Mittal was conferred with an Honorary Doctoral Degree in Business Management for his exceptional contributions to the field of business and education.
