The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), successfully hosted Stratonomics 2024, its annual business conclave, on November 3, 2024. Organized by CONSTRAT: The Consulting and Strategy Consortium at XIMB, this year’s event centered on the theme, “Evolving Strategic Paradigms: Equipping for Tomorrow’s Challenges with Future-Ready Strategies.”
Stratonomics 2024 brought together top industry leaders who shared invaluable insights on strategic innovation, preparing attendees for a rapidly evolving business landscape. Notable speakers included Mr. A L Jagannath, Director of Marketing & Partnerships, IME at Thoughtworks; Mr. Santosh Kevlani, Vice President of Monetisation & Partnership at Myntra; Ms. Aditi Mishra, Associate Director of Enterprise Service Management at PepsiCo; Mr. Aroop Mohapatra, Vice President at IndusInd Bank; and Mr. Biswajit Panda, Senior Vice President, India GCC Head at NielsenIQ. Moderated by Prof. Francis Thomas Castellino, the discussions centered on developing future-ready strategies and navigating challenges effectively.
Mr. A L Jagannath, Thoughtworks’ Marketing & Partnerships Director, emphasized the importance of understanding target audiences in a fragmented market. “Building a successful brand requires resonating with customers on a deeper level,” he said, underscoring that unique brand positioning and responsiveness to emerging trends are vital for sustained relevance.
Mr. Santosh Kevlani from Myntra, addressing the theme “Disrupt or Get Disrupted,” highlighted the need for strategic foresight. He recommended tools like white space analysis, global trend projections, competition mapping, and customer VOC analysis to uncover potential opportunities and threats.
Ms. Aditi Mishra of PepsiCo discussed the value of reflecting on past experiences, drawing insights from industry peers, and trusting leadership for future readiness. She emphasized storytelling with data, illustrating how impactful brand narratives shape customer trust.
Mr. Aroop Mohapatra of IndusInd Bank stressed the critical role of execution in strategic success. He shared insights into India’s banking sector, noting that resilience, discipline, and a commitment to responsibility are fundamental for leaders in finance.
Mr. Biswajit Panda from NielsenIQ spoke on the holistic approach to strategy, which he argued goes beyond cost management to drive end-to-end business growth. He emphasized that successful strategy includes financial, operational, and cultural alignment for a sustainable future.
