Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, speaking at the fifth Auto Retail Conclave, stressed the government’s commitment to advancing the circular economy. Gadkari urged auto dealers to take the initiative in establishing vehicle scrapping facilities to contribute to this sustainable economic model. Under this policy, dealers will receive the necessary permissions to launch scrapping facilities, enabling the recycling of old vehicles into usable products—a cornerstone of the circular economy, which promotes the re-use and regeneration of materials.
