Following its launch, the official booking process commenced for the three available variants. Hero MotoCorp reported an overwhelming customer response to this offering.
Hero MotoCorp has garnered an impressive count of 25,597 bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440 model. The initial booking window, which opened on July 4th, has concluded. A press release from the company on August 8th stated that a new booking window would be revealed shortly. Commencing in September, Hero MotoCorp is set to initiate production of the Harley-Davidson X440 at its Neemrana-based Garden factory in Rajasthan, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence in October. Notably, the top variant has secured the highest number of bookings, showcasing its popularity among customers.

The Denim, Vivid, and S variants will now have revised prices of Rs 2,39,500, Rs 2,59,500, and Rs 2,79,500 respectively. Niranjan Gupta, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hero MotoCorp, mentioned that the Harley-Davidson X440 was initially launched at an introductory cost of Rs 2.29 lakh. Subsequently, a new pricing structure has been introduced, which will be effective for the upcoming online booking window. The current window, offering introductory pricing, will conclude on August 3rd.
For those interested in purchasing this bike, it is advised to await the reopening of the booking window or get in touch with their nearest dealership. Hero MotoCorp has noted that the top variant has recorded the highest number of bookings, with a price of Rs 2,69,000. Notably, around 65 percent of customers have opted for the top-tier variant. This bike is equipped with a 398 CC single-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine.
The Harley-Davidson X440 will compete with notable contenders like the Honda H’ness CB350, Benelli Imperiale 400, and Triumph Speed 400 within the Indian market. The base variant of the Hero-Harley bike features wire-spoke rims and minimal badging. On the other hand, the Vivid variant offers alloy wheels and a dual-tone paint option. The collaborative efforts of the Harley-Davidson brand and Hero MotorCorp have led to the development of the Harley-Davidson X440.
