Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have invested Rs 45,365 crore in the Indian stock market in July, showing a slight dip compared to June’s investment figure of Rs 46,581 crore, according to NSDL data. Despite the small decline, the Indian markets continue to attract significant foreign inflows, making India the leading recipient of FPI investments among emerging markets.
Foreign Portfolio Investments (FPIs) in Indian Stock Market
The strong market performance, with Sensex and Nifty reaching all-time highs, has been a major driver of foreign investments. While FPI inflows have been robust overall, with significant contributions to the Nifty’s rise, the recent selling spree shows that the market remains susceptible to fluctuations.
